Kevin Rand

With over 40 years of dedication to the mat, Kevin brings a wealth of technical expertise and competitive experience to Kitsune-Gari.

Beginning his journey at age 10, with the British Judo Association (BJA), he later transitioned to the British Judo Council (BJC), where he earned his black belt through competitive gradings in 1989.

Kevin’s background includes extensive competition at both county and national levels, but his true passion lies in the classical art of judo. He specialises in the formal study of traditional Kata and maintains rigorous technical standards in every session.

Having been a Senior Sensei for many years, he holds many Sensei Osaka Coaching qualifications, reflecting his commitment to disciplined, high-quality instruction that honours the sport’s traditional roots.
